The annual conference for cancer survivors, family members, caregivers, medical providers, health professionals and anyone interested in Native American cancer issues. The conference agendas are planned in a series of: Training year, Recognition year and Survivor/Scientists year. They are moved around the United States so survivors and supporters have a better opportunity to meet other survivors, learn about cancer and how they can improve their chances of survivorship. The 2001 Roots of Strength conference is a "Training Year" and will be held in Billings, Montana. The training will focus on "Starting and Sustaining Cancer Support Groups." |
