Roots of Strength Conference

The annual conference for cancer survivors, family members, caregivers, medical providers, health professionals and anyone interested in Native American cancer issues.  The conference agendas are planned in a series of: Training year, Recognition year and Survivor/Scientists year.  They are moved around the United States so survivors and supporters have a better opportunity to meet other survivors, learn about cancer and how they can improve their chances of survivorship.  The 2001 Roots of Strength conference is a "Training Year" and will be held in Billings, Montana.  The training will focus on "Starting and Sustaining Cancer Support Groups."
